Missoula event honors sisters' history

Missoula students and museum present history of the sisters

The red carpet was rolled out on May 4 for 10 Sisters of Providence who traveled from Great Falls and Spokane to Missoula, Mont., for the unveiling of a collaborative project on the contributions the sisters have made to that community. Here are a few pictures from that event.

Alex Ward (left), a Loyola Sacred Heart freshman, and Jack Ward, a St. Joseph School sixth grader, were among the hosts. Sister Dorothy Zimny is escorted into Mass by Jack Ward.
Hosts for the event included (from left) Tricia Karsky, a Loyola Sacred Heart senior; Sara Mormon, high school Latin/Dramatic Arts teacher; and Emilie Loran, also a senior. Students made this replica of the sisters' traditional habit with guidance from the Providence Archives

All the sisters received flowers, including (from left) Srs. Liz Cole, Lang Tran, Liz Gress and Ann Dolores Ybarrola.

Look at those smiles at the Missoula event! Pictured from left are Srs. Ann Dolores Ybarrola, Judy George, Dorothy Byrne, Maria Lourdes Cleto, Liz Gress, Liz Cole, and Lang Tran, exhibit organizer and Loyola Sacred Heart librarian Patrice Schwenk, and Srs. Dorothy Zimny, Clarella Fink and Mary Kaye Nealen.
