Spirituality: the core of the Sisters of Providence.
It carries us through our ministries, our communication and interactions with others.
It is the relationship between Christ and each of us.
Our spirituality is all around us and in everything we do. It’s in the way we help others, and how others touch our hearts.
It’s the compassion we feel for one another. It’s seeing Christ in the people we serve, in the poor, the suffering, in one another.
Without spirituality, there would be no religious community.
Spirituality lies at the heart of all we do. It informs our compassion and compels us to draw nearer to God and serve those around us — just as it did our foundress, Mother Emilie Gamelin.
The Sisters of Providence are women who have converted their spirituality into commitment — and enjoy the blessings that result.
The love that Christ has shown towards me is so powerful that it overflows. I pray daily for an increase of God’s love in my heart, and that I might have the compassionate heart that Jesus had.

We inherited the virtues of humility, simplicity and charity from Emilie Gamelin. They are key to our spirituality.
