Core Group Leader Sr. Hong Nga Nguyen, SP, represented Sisters of Providence at a Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) gathering, which brought elected leaders, justice officers, and communicators together for three intensive days of social justice collaboration.
The sessions were held in St. Louis, Missouri, and included several impactful sessions led by educator, author, and 2015 Lantos Human Rights Prize winner Irshad Manji.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to collaborate with fellow congregations of women religious who bear the name and charism of Providence, who, alongside the Sisters, contribute to the organization Women of Providence in Collaboration.
The tools and resources created during the gathering will be a source of reference and inspiration in social justice involvement.
