Sr. Barbara Schamber, provincial leader, joined with Erik Wexler, chief operating officer of the Providence St. Joseph Health System, in welcoming participants from all of Providence’s ministries to the 2024 Care Delivery Summit. The group includes the chief executive officers and staff leaders for physician groups, acute care facilities, home health care and others.
The goal of the two-day meeting was to explore ways to collaborate with each other and transform the health system to meet the needs of people accessing the health care environment today.
Sr. Barbara thanked the participants for responding to God’s call and being part of the health care ministry. She also gave them a short reminder of how many congregations of religious women have entrusted their hospitals to the Sisters of Providence over the decades, explaining the importance of the health care leaders in keeping the legacy of all these congregations alive well into the future.
