Providence High School Celebrates 70 Years

Sisters of Providence, along with hundreds of parents, faculty, students, alums, health system representatives and friends attended a gala celebration to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Providence High School (PHS) in Burbank, California.

The evening included a moving tribute to PHS-alumna Sr. Barbara Schamber, SP, who passed away just a few days before, by Scott McLarty, head of school, and proud praise of the school by Providence St. Joseph Health System CEO, Erik Wexler.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Providence Leadership Fund, a new movement which honors the vision of long-time principal Sr. Lucille Dean, SP, who championed leadership as the hallmark of a Providence education.
