A book that details the journey of the Sisters of Providence westward to the Pacific Northwest was featured in a daily online reading series this summer.
In the series, all 25 chapters of “The Bell and the River,” by Sr. Mary of the Blessed Sacrament McCrosson, SP, were read and reflected on by Rev. Eric Andersen of Saint Steven Catholic Church in Portland.
“The Bell and the River” was first published in 1957.
