PA Nicolas Estrada to lead four-part “Celebrating Providence” virtual series

Nicolas Estrada, a Providence Associate and an associate university minister for liturgy at University of San Diego, will serve as the presenter for a virtual series bringing people together to celebrate providence beginning this fall.

The four-part miniseries was announced by Women of Providence in Collaboration, and will be sponsored by the organization’s Associate Leaders Group.

Estrada is a standout facilitator and minister, and recently led a summit for the California Angels order of Providence Associates. The Los Angeles native has served a number of Catholic schools and parishes in California, Illinois, and Montana — as a teacher/catechist, adjunct instructor, campus minister, retreat director, school administrator, and liturgist.

In his current role at USD, Estrada oversees the university’s campus liturgies, devotions, and OCIA programs. He also supports the Diocese of San Diego as an instructor for the Department of Catholic Schools’ religion teacher (K-12 grade) certification program.

Each session in the series will run for approximately 90 minutes, and can be accessed online. See the lineup and flyer below for more details on each session:

  • Saturday, October 24 — A Shared Heritage: The Evolution of a Theology of Providence (7-8:30am Pacific Time)
  • Saturday, December 5 — Stories of Faith: The Biblical Foundations of Providence (7-8:30am Pacific Time)
  • Saturday, January 30 — Co-Creators with Providence: Embracing Our Call (7-8:30am Pacific Time)
  • Saturday, February 20 — A Prophetic Hope: Trusting Providence in Times of Change (7-8:30am Pacific Time)
