Student Exchange

Last year, Sr. Maggie Pastro was among many who celebrated the 170th anniversary of the Sisters of Providence in Chile.  She struck up a conversation with faculty at the Colegio La Providencia, the Sisters’ school in Linares, Chile.  Together they arranged for students and faculty to visit Providence High School (PHS)  in Burbank, California.  In January, during what is summer vacation in the Southern Hemisphere, the students experienced a taste of what it is like in an American high school while the Chilean faculty explored the Chilean culture, traditions and life with students in PHS’s Spanish classes.
