On February 6, nearly 80 alumni of Providence Academy in Vancouver, Wash., gathered for a luncheon at their alma mater. They assembled to hear the story of the efforts under way to preserve the Academy building and grounds by the Fort Vancouver Historical Trust.
Among the attendees were Sister Alexis Melancon, the last principal, Sister Virginia Miller, faculty, and Sister Susanne Hartung, chief mission integration officer for Providence Health and Services, who was the keynote speaker.
